Finding and Accessing Police Data#

  • The Stanford Open Policing Project: The Stanford Open Policing Project collects and standardizes data on vehicle and pedestrian stops from law enforcement departments across the United States. They have made over 200 million records publicly available from 33 state patrols and 57 local police departments across the United States.

  • Police Data Accessibility Project: PDAP is building a space for people to access police data, share best practices, and collaborate with others. Currently, they provide an extensive national directory of public records on police agencies in the United States.
